The default yield factor of 3 is an illustrative weight estimate, not a rule for every rice variety or cooking method. Enter a factor measured for your rice. Weigh plain rice before adding sauce or other ingredients. This tool estimates food yield; it does not calculate the water to add or a safe storage period.
