Original instructional diagram for Llama Pregnancy Planning: Calendar Arithmetic and Individual Variation. Values, when shown, are illustrative; clinical images do not recommend a dose.
Name the duration convention
A shorthand expressed in months and a reference expressed in days are not necessarily identical. This form adds a stated number of calendar days. Keep that number and the breeding event in the record so the estimate does not silently change between caregivers.
Use Llama Calculator to work through these inputs while keeping the displayed assumptions in view.
Leave uncertainty visible
The estimate does not confirm pregnancy or describe every individual variation. Its user-entered margin is a planning choice, not a measured confidence interval. For monitoring and concerning changes, use veterinary assessment rather than the apparent precision of a date.
This question belongs to the Animal pregnancy calculators group within Biology calculators.
Read the calculation on its stated basis
Estimated date = entered breeding date + entered reference days. The planning range adds and subtracts your chosen margin.
The 350-day reference is an approximate planning value, not a confirmed delivery date.
Keep the date, reference duration and planning margin together in the record. If a different reference event or duration is used, calculate a new estimate rather than silently changing the meaning of an earlier date.
Keep related questions separate
Mare Gestation Calculator - Horse Gestation addresses a related part of the measurement or interpretation task. Check its own method before carrying a value from one tool to the other.

For tools in other subjects, return to GreenCalc. Keep the calculator result with its assumptions rather than using a link or a matching unit as evidence that two models are interchangeable.
