Multiply electricity use and driving distance by suitable emission factors, then subtract the electricity offset from solar energy used at home. This is an estimate for these two activities, not a complete household carbon inventory.
Choosing your factors
The initial values are illustrative. Replace the electricity factor with data for your supplier or region, and the driving factor with data for your vehicle. Solar offsets are capped at your electricity consumption.
