A correct calculation can be entered on the wrong scale

A ticket-count question expects an integer, such as 120. A question labeled decimal probability expects a value from zero to one, such as 0.1. Entering 10 because the chance is 10% gives a different numerical value. The Lottery Quiz names the expected answer type in each question.

Distinguish probability from its reciprocal

A probability of 1/30 is approximately 0.033333333. Its percentage is approximately 3.3333333%, and its reciprocal “one in” count is 30. These are three representations of the same chance under the model, but only the requested decimal belongs in the quiz answer field. A fraction expression such as 1/30 is not parsed as a decimal input.

Use feedback to diagnose the mistake

Check the event, denominator and requested unit before checking the answer. If the explanation agrees with your method but your answer is marked incorrect, inspect whether you entered a percentage or reciprocal instead of a decimal. Supply enough decimal places for the small displayed rounding tolerance; for 1/30, 0.0333333 is sufficiently close.

Keep a first-attempt practice record

The session score counts the first check for each presented question, so repeatedly checking the revealed answer does not increase that attempt score. Next question starts another exercise and Reset clears the session. Read ticket-count checks for count-versus-probability reasoning. The Lottery Calculator provides the general supported calculation; quiz feedback is a learning aid, not a recommendation to participate in a lottery.
